As an important writer,Xinqiji was called the Dragon of Poet in Song Dynasty. Both good at civil and military,he has a great ambition for his country,but can not develop himself since going to the Southern part. Therefore,he gives up the pursuit to devote himself to the creation of poem. Until today,about 620 poems have been come down,which makes him the greatest poet among the poets in Southern and Northern Dynasty.As far as the content and style are concerned,Xin's theme contains wide scope,some are to express the emotion,some are to intone the nature,some are to describe the fact. As for the style,his poems are more rich and colorful than others,some are circumbendibus,some are minuteness,some are generosity. Xinqiji's works spurn the old style,develops a new one with an unusual sight and appearance. From then on the poem,only for expressing the emotion in past time,is injected the strong and firm elements,especially the feeling of hero's generosity and sad melody into the officialdom,cosmetics,and bel-esprit style.One of the important expressions in Xin's Poems is a great deal of literary quotation. Many old story and sayings are used to serve the demand to express ideas in his works. As for the quantity and scope of the literary quotation used,he has overpassed the writers at that time and grand old mans. As for the state of literary quotation in the poems,they are assimilated by Xin into his own poems,and can hardly distinguish where they are from. As for the motivation of using the literary quotation,Xin is not only for using them,but for building better bourn and expressing the emotion. As for the methods,Xin always use them skillfully to meet different purpose with transfer,direct use and adduction.The reason that literary quotation is adopted to be main means of expressions lies mainly in the combination of influence of the tradition in his times,personal encounter,acqierement and special proposition in literature.
