Analysis Of Language Learning Three Elements - Context, The Session Aims And Pragmatic Principles

The research and development of pragmatics is another focus of attention in the field of linguistics. It is a branch of linguistics. Its advent marked a new stage in the research of linguistics. Pragmatics is the science which studies specific utterances in specific situations,especially how to comprehend and use language in different communication situations.As the main aspects of pragmatic research,the speech situations and principles of pragmatics are often correlated with conversational goals. So,this thesis intends to reveal the relations and interaction among these three aspects.Speech situation is a conceptual idea,consisting of several elements which are summed up in the course of daily language communication.Conversational goals are the prerequisites of communication. Realization and understanding of these goals are achieved in the concrete speech situation.Pragmatic Principles are the communicative strategies taken by the speaker for the concrete speech situation and his or her conversational goals.The comprehensive analysis of these three aspects will be conducive to successful language communication.
