The dissertation is started from the existing QingYangQiang play, with emphasis on its features such as changing tune and rolling tune. The dissertation throw highlight on the stage art, cognitive and aesthetic value of QingYangQiang plays, by the efforts make to distinguish QingYangQiang plays from plays of Yuan and Ming dynasty, legead of literati through comparison.The full text can be divided into three parts:The First. General Description of QingYangQiang play mainly includes: the criteria to define the play and its general background.The Second. Ideological content of QingYangQiang playThe existing QingYangQiang play can be classified into four categories: the first is ethic and moral play; the second is historical legend; the third is love story; the fourth is religious play. All these plays demonstrate the colorfulness of its content, and reflect mass people's moral conception, aesthetic standards and value outlook.The Third. The artistic character of QingYangQiang playIt specifically embodies in the following:The first is its addition and deletion of plot and Qubai; the second is its fully utilization on dialogue to develop the plot and depict the character by breaking the tradition of legend of literati, which emphasizes tune with less regard to dialogue; the third is its modification or process of Qupai and tune; and its addition of chorus and duct; the forth is its use of rolling tune.From the above study of the ideological content and artistic character of QingYangQiang play, we can draw a conclusion that QingYangQiang paly has the same quality with the folk play as the play for stage performance in the middle of Ming dynasty.
