Chinese Dialects Sememes Comparative Study

This paper, which adopts contemporary lexical semantics and withdraw certain amount of semantic fields from ictionary on Chinese Dialects?edited by Mr. Li Rong, studies the differences of lexical meaning among various dialects of Chinese language from five aspects with comparative method taking glosseme as basic unit. There are differences of primary meaning among different dialects. People of different dialectal areas are not in the same natural and humane environment and different dialects are not in the same historical strata, the language model for ideogram and designation isn't the same, the relationship of meaning and reality is indirect, the degree of summing up realistic things is different, the quantity of classified glossemes corresponding semantic fields is different, the divided glosseme can't match with each other completely. There are only partly matching semantic fields. A few glossemes within a polyseme semantic field, because of the different angle of relation and different application of same-type semes, the glossemes derived from the same primitive meaning of corresponding word from different dialects isn't same completely. Every dialect has its unique glossemes which can't find in others because of the differences of natural and humane environment .The same glosseme in different dialects has been entrusted different connation, the semantic value of glosseme in different dialects is different, too. There is difference in correlativity and similarity association among different dialects, the derivation format of glosseme is different, too. The corresponding glosseme in different dialects has difference in effective meaning, image-bearing meaning, etc. The meaning domain of glosseme: the size of container, the quantity of container and application scope of the corresponding glosseme from different dialects are not same. The paradigmatic relation: the corresponding semantically synonymous field or antonymic field in different dialects is different. The selective rules and sequencing rules of syntagmatic relation are not same, too. Because of difference from., regions, national environment and socio-conventional psychology, people from different dialectal areas choose different character of things when they name them, motivation has dialectal difference, too.
