The Comparative Study On Lexical Semantics Of Jining Dialects

The thesis selects the Jining dialectal vocabulary as the research object. From carrying out investigation and study of the Jining dialectal vocabulary, the thesis is to explore the discrepancies of semantic phenomena between Jining dialects and mandarin and between Jining dialects of different kinds on the basis of lexical semantics. The research aims to explore the system and the regularities of the dialectal vocabulary.The preface firstly explains the reasons of selecting the Jining dialectal vocabulary as the reseach object, and the reasons of using lexical semantics. Jining dialect vocabulary has great consistency with the Shandong dialect and the entire northern dialect vocabulary. At the same time, there are also many differences; it has its own characteristics.There are tewelve counties and cities in Jining, including zhongqu, jiaoqu, Yanzhou, Qufu, Zoucheng, Sishui, Jiaxiang, Yutai, Weishan, Jixiang, Wenshang and Lianshan. Because of the diecrepancies of nature environment and history and people's living custom, there are some differens in the dialectcal vocabularies. In the past, the vocabulary studies were mostly with focus on simple enumerating the vocabulary's characteristics and classification. The studies lacked systematic and in-depth study theoretically.Chapter one: It deals with the comparative study on the differences of the Jining dialect's lexical meaning. I will study the differences between mandarin and dialect and the interior each dialect mainly from the connotation and the extension, in order to find the difference in the concept of the vocabulary, namely the extension and the connotation, and the number of the lexical meaning.Chapter two: It deals with the comparative studies on the differences of the Jining dialectcal colour meaning. It studies the differences between the mandarin and dialect and the interior each dialect mainly from sentimental color, vivid color, time color. Chapter three: It deals with the comparative studies on the differences of the Jining dialecal grammatical meaning. It explains the semantic differences mainly from the part of speech, formal differences and affix.Chapter four: It makes the comparative studies on the differences of the Jining dialect's field of meaning. It includs the differences of glosseme in static state, namely the difference of the concept's extension; and the differences of glosseme's applicable scope from static state to dynamic, namely the difference of the glosseme's pragmatic;And it also includs the differences of the glosseme in the combine and the matching.Chapter five: It will put glosseme into the semantic field to make comparative studies. The semantic field is divided into polysemy fields, synonymy fields and antonymy semantic fields. Then I t will analyze the difference in semantic. Attempt to seek the systematic characteristic of the dialect semantics and the regularity of the language phenomenon.The sixth chapter explains the studies on the dialect's motivation. The characteristics of the objective things and the main body consciousness are influenced by the society, culture, mentality, thought, custom and other aspects. So there are many differences when people make words. It is very obviously when the differences are reflected in the mandarin and dialect's motivation.
