Modern transforming or Modernization which mainly refers to the social develop went from the old to the modern has a great comprehensive concept. Speak to its content, Modernization is a multiple process which involves all aspects of human evolution.This thesis mainly illustrates the modern changes of ethics in France, which can be divided into four periods. In the Renaissance period, the old ethics began to meet great challenges. In the enlightenment period, the modern ethics was basically established. In the period of great revolution, the ethics was politicized. Since the later half of the nineteenth century, the irrational ethics had been popular. With the analysis of those process , it is showed that a nation 憇 ethics varies in history. It is modernized with the advance of economy, science and technology.The modernization of ethics in France shows the inclination of humanism which pays attention to the subjective initiative and the significance of individual existence. This point may be beneficial to improve Chinese ethics which can be accordingly adapted to the establishment of our social market system.
