The teaching of Modal Particles in TCFL is very important. To the overseas students, Modal Particles is a weak point in their learning of Chinese. And to the teachers, it is also very difficult to teach.In this article, the research attempts to analyze the errors that occurred in the conversations and compositions of foreign students by using inter-language and error analysis theory in order to find the reasons and impacts factors to put forward appropriate teaching strategy and offer some useful suggestions for improving teaching quanlity. Meanwhile, this article not only tries to solve the problem occurred in teaching Chinese modal particle "BA", but also find some clues of solving other Chinese modal particles' or function words' teaching problems. The research targets are the students whose Chinese proficiency are at intermediate and advanced level. The research content is the performance of foreign students on learning Chinese modal particle "BA". The research method is the combination of inter-language corpus and questionnaires.This article has six sections.Chapter One exposes the aims and significance of the research and indicates the research range and tasks.Chapter Two summarizes the background of relevant theories.Chapter Three states the research's approach and analyzes the outcome, which is the main part of the article.Chapter Four illustrates the reasons according to the statistics from the textbooks and grammar books.Chapter Five proposes pertinent suggestions to the main problems which are found during the research.Chapter Six is the conclusion, including the insufficiencies of the research.
