I didn't know it until now I see that it is the root of these works mentioned above.This is a joke that the history make. She makes the reach progress about zhangtaiyan in reverse order.However,My graduation thesis introduces completely the content,feature and method of the notebook.It is good for understanging Zhangtaiyan's scholarly progress between the past and the future.On the basis of an overall statistical analysis, My graduation thesis has a survey for the content of the notebook. There are mainly four aspects:Fist, relating to the punctuation, including words transformed the punctuation, homonyms, the borrow words,words derived from the same root, words translated by nonlettered characters.Second, relating to the formof characters, including the Chinese ancient writing, the Old-new Words, the words of vulgar form,six ancient forms of writing and the theory about patronize literature.Third, relating to the meaning of words, including the explanation of words meaning, the extended meanings of words, the documentary evidence, the different meaning of Ancient and modern word, synonym discrimination and so on.Fourth, relating to the grammar, including the narration of function words, lexical difference, the explanation of multi-category words and of the analysis of the sentence and so on.The notebook has typical characteristics.First of all,it has innovation.According to Zhouzuoren, Zhangtaiyan explained Shuowen from a word to another.But,according to our statistical analysis,the notebook is different from Duanzhu.Second,it has clear linguistics stand.Duanzhu explain the context of non-linguistics, including collating document, explaining the style and so on.But,Zhangtaiyan didn't.Third,it has educational characteristics.It is important for us to how to explain so difficult works to the younger.In the method,Zhangtaiyan sets a high value on the unity of the punctuation and the meaning of words. Wangli evaluated《The source of words》that it revealed the systematization of Chinese Vocabulary.If you can see the thread of the notebook,you will find《The source of words》is just in it.Zhangtaiyan used the advanced methodand absorbed the advanced theory such as western theory and Indian teory.In a word,this graduation thesis try to introduce this "new book "to everyone,and try to find Zhangtaiyan's historical logic in linguistics.But It is to be regretted that because my ability is poor,the bright points of the notebook don't be all showed to everyone.I wish I would get everyone's help on my mistakes.
