Current society is related to the study of historical disasters. The study not only can understand the past disaster situation, but also can see at the local people's feedback for disasters. From that perspective, the study for historical disaster will have important significance. In the past, the main concern is the Qing Dynasty locust problem for drought disasters, and the study of the whole region comprehensively in Ming Dynasty was almost litter. For that, the author's research highlights its necessity and importance. Through consulting the Ming Dynasty local chorography of Jinbei area, as the breakthrough point, the author tries to investigate the natural disasters in Ming Dynasty with social and economic interaction process of Jinbei area, in order to enrich the content and historical research of Jinbei area to the social economic development, disaster prevention and mitigation greatly.The whole paper is separatied to five chapters. And it mainly includes two issues: first, natural disasters' statistics and specific disasters kinds of characteristics; second, disasters' background and human strata towards disasters ever the positive and negative effects.The first chapter basically classifies the disasters of Jinbei area in Ming Dynasty, and the various disasters' statistics in the early, middle and late tine.The second chapteris about all kinds of natural disasters'distribution and characteristics od Jinbei in the Ming Dynasty from time and space. In this section, the drought as the key is studied. By contrast, the author discusses the cold. Other kinds such as the plague, earthquake, wind, snowstorm and low temperature frost, though not the chief of Jinbei area, those have extremely strong destructive, so this chapter discusses in chief.The third chapter mainly tells about how the social economic suffers from disasters in Jinbei area. From the natuer point, Jinbei area has distinctive place:in the edge of the demarcation between agriculture and animal husbandry, and on the waters is different elsewhere in Shanxi Province. Judged from the social situation, war is less in the eraly time in the Ming Dynasty. But as the rise of Mongolian plateau forces the middle and late, the area becomes the worst-hit areas. Besides that, for political reasons, the forest here was humbled, land occupied seriously. The fourth chapter discusses the government and the public here did a lot of efforts in the report, relief, water conservancy to disaster relief duing the disaster period. In fact, the government in relief efforts had a relatively complete program in the Ming Dynasty.The fifth chapter relates to main natural disasters' influence for Jinbei area's society. From inundated perspective, disasters often cause massive death of the population and escape, thus make the lack of population of the affected areas. As a result, a great damages the normal production. Disasters still make evil to farmland seriously, and cropping system has certain degree of reversal.Then disasters aslo led to spike social contradictions in Jinbei area.But you know, as the ancients says:exercise companion. Disaster will also prompte frequent society to do things for possible future disasters, including emphasizing water conservancy, perfect the system and so on.Overall, based on the huge historical records, the paper through different versions of historical records as possible as correct, accurate and reliably, tries to recovery real historical possible. Just like it speaks a short story, from beginning to end, the authoe strives to speak clearly. This also is this paper writing's original purpose.
