As a mirror, the reception and translation of Stefan Zweig, reflected the intellectual history of several generations in Mainland of China, which is embodied in Zweig's biographical works. On the one hand, Zweig's biographical works were necessary references for Chinese intellectuals to understand the great biographees and their times. On the other hand, these works were important media for translators and readers to express their own feelings and views. In the past nearly 100 years, most of Zweig's biographical works integrated into the reading history of Chinese and are still helpful for us to realize the intellectual history indirectly.According to the time sequence and publication status, this paper selects "Romain Rolland", "Balzac" and "The Right to Heresy" as objects, combines time-backgrounds and current thoughts, and tries to explore the coincidence and inconsistency between Zweig's biographical works and Chinese intellectual history. This paper is divided into five parts. Exordium expounds the research reason, sums up the research current situations in China and abroad, and points out the achievement and deficiency. Chapter 1 begins with the first Chinese translation of "Romain Rolland" in the deep calling of heroism, and finds out their coincidence. Chapter 2 points out the collision between realism and psychoanalysis, which led to the misunderstanding of "Balzac". Chapter 3 expounds the fact that people obtained the strength of rational spirit from "The Right to Heresy". In the last part, Reflections sketches the contours of Zweig's other biographical works and draws a conclusion that the whole history of reception is a successive and dynamical producing course, marking with different signs and ages.At present, the study on Zweig's biographical works is scattered. This paper looks forward to using rich historical materials and comparative literature methods, to present the phasic variation and coherent whole of the research. At the end of the paper, the Appendix tables, such as "The Chronology List of Zweig's Biographical Works and Brief Introduction to the Published Translation", "The Chinese Bibliography List of Zweig's Biographical Works", and "The Chinese Research Situation of Zweig's Biographical Works", try hard to supply informative and clear research results, meanwhile, to show the richness and depth of the objects in this paper.
