China has a turbulence time in the 10th century AD. Five dynasties changed one by one in the north, while ten kingdoms existed at the same time in the south. Among the ten kingdoms, there was a country lived in southeast of China which was called Wuyue, though small it was, it was wealthy and strong. The five kings of three generations of Wuyue kingdom (Qian Liu,Qian Yuanguan,Qian Hongzuo,Qian Hongcong,Qian Hongchu) all executed worship Buddha policy. They encouraged people to believe in Buddhism, the royal family also taking the lead, and thus in the whole society Become common practice Buddhist culture. Based on the achievements of previous studies, and with the relevant historical and archaeological materials, this paper will explore the reasons, list the features and show the influence about the academic issues.Research shows that, though all the kings of Wuyue kingdom executed worship Buddha policy, the reasons are different from person to person, and also different because of the different environments. But in the final analysis, execute worship Buddha policy was to consolidate its rule. The Qian's Wuyue kingdom executed worship Buddha policy in many aspects, including welcome the monks, building temples and pagodas, digging grotto statues, engraving Buddhist scriptures, etc Worship Buddha has had a huge impact. For the Qian's Wuyue kingdom, the Buddhist sermons were beneficial to its rule, and extent strengthened the regime to a certain. The objective effects were conducive to social stability, were good to social and economic prosperity, were helpful to the progress of regional culture. For the Buddhist, the number of monks increased, a large number of Buddhist books were written. This was benefit to promote the development of Buddhism. Large-scale, systematic engraving engraved Buddhist statues, not only to promote the prosperity of the block printing industry, but also for the publication of the Song Dynasty, Hangzhou became the printing center and laid a solid foundation. The construction of the temple pagoda, had a certain influence to the construction industry; a large number of gold coating tower casting, had promoted the development of handicraft production and foundry industry, etc. The international Buddhist communication between Wuyue and Japan, and North Korea had promoted the Cultural exchanges between these countries. It was just at that time Hangzhou became the Buddhist center of the country and was called "southeast Buddhism world".This issue is a comprehensive, systematic and in-depth research, which will help strengthen the depth of the history of the Wuyue, help to deepen the comprehensive understanding of Buddhist culture in China, will help summarize the historical experience of local culture. What's more, it will help on the inheritance of the historical and cultural heritage of modern culture so as to provide a useful reference.
