It was the foundation for the development of later clinical medicine.Chest Stuffiness was a common Chinese internal disease, which experienced Han, Jin Tang, Song Yuan, Ming and Qing several long historical periods. The doctors summed up rich experience of clinical medicine and accumulated a large number of literature by enriching and innovating in the disease through the ages and formed a system which had pathogenesis, pathogen, symptom. and treatment. However, these statements were scattered in various writings of physicians, which were lack of induction and arrangement.This dissertation studied the Chest Stuffiness in Synopsis of Prescriptions of the Golden Chamber as the entry point , from the perspective of historical development and literature induction, explored the theory and treatment of source on Chest Stuffiness. The dissertation was divided into two parts: the first part discussed the formation of the system about bianzhenglunzhi and the key issues such as the location of the disease, the completement of etiology ,pathogenesis and the innovation of formulas. The second part summarized the macro level of development of the rule, and explained several important issues on development of Chest Stuffiness and the rules of bianzhenglunzhi .The dissertation reviewed and studied the characteristics of different stages by understanding the historical source of Chest Stuffiness , summed up rich experience of treatment, sorted out, inducted and studied the disease in depth. The disease was divided into different stages by the developmental rule in accordance to its source and historical evolution . The dissertation provided treatment and valuable literature on Chest Stuffiness for theoretical basis and bianzhenglunzhi in future.
