Objective: Observing the therapeutic effect and the security of shen hong tong luo yin in treating pectoral stuffiness and pains in patterns of qi deficiency and phlegm stasis.Methods: 70 patients of pectoral stuffiness and pains in patterns of qi deficiency and phlegm stasis were divided into treatment group (n=35) and control group (n=35). A randomized controlled method was adopted. The treatment group was treated with shen hong tong luo yin one dose daily, decocted in water for oral dose, and taken orally after breakfast and supper respectively. The control group was treated with Bu chang nao xin tong capsule, taken orally 5 pills every time and 3 times every day. Observe the changement of the Angina Pectoris, the various syndromes, the cardiograph ST-T. Both trials continued for 4 weeks.Results:Assess the efficacy of the symptom of the pectoral stuffiness and pains: In the treatment group, whose overall effective rate was 88.57%, In the control group, whose overall effective rate was 85.71%, Analyzing the efficacy statistically of the two groups, there were no significant differences (P>0.05). Comparing the integral of various syndromes before and after treatment with the statistical analysis, there were significant differences(P<0.05).3 Assess the efficacy of the cardiograph: In the treatment group, whose overall effective rate was 57.14%, In the control group, whose overall effective rate was 50.00%.Analyzing the validity statistically of the two groups, there were no significant differences (P>0.05).4 There was no distinct adverse reaction in the treatment group.Conclusion: The efficacy of shen hong tong luo yin on the pectoral stuffiness and pains in patterns of qi deficiency and phlegm stasis was exact and safe, so it can be extended.
