Diabetic nephropathy is one of a serious chronic microvascular complications of diabetes mellitus, is also the main reason for patients who with the diabetic nephropathy cause to the diabetic disability or death. Western medicine view that long-tern hyperglycemia,hypertensive and hyperlipidemia is a direct foctor caused the development of diabetic nephropathy even lead to chronic renal failure. Therefore, western medicine in the treatment of diabetic nephropathy mainly taken the symptomatic treatment for example rigorous control of blood glucose,hypertension,correct the disorder of lipid metabolism. To chinese medicine ,there are not correspondence name. But according to the patient's symptoms , it owns to"Edema","Urine turbid","Renal elimination". Chinese medicine view that congential defect improper diet overstrain and emotional maladjustment are essential etiological factors of diabetic nephropathy. My teacher divides diabetic nephropathy into early, middle and late periods and treatment based on differentiation of symptom-complex . My teacher think early lesions are dominated by Qi and Yin Deficiency; It follows the principle of treatment that reinforcing qifor promoting the production of body fluid and nourishing yin for moistening dryness; Progression deficiency of Yin long time, leading to deficiency of Yang, the medium-term of diabetic nephropathy with deficiency of Yang of both spleen and kidney was the most, treatments take more warming and invigorating spleen and kidney inducing diuresis to alleviate edema. in early stage, diabetic nephropathy patients with the deficiency of both Yin and yang qi and blood, renal failure internal retention of water ; taken in the treatment of emergency is a temporary solution, condition is not urgent treatment base lesions; when necessary, to take dialytic treatments or rescue therapy. In her 20 years of practice the doctor had trained many outstanding students.In her opinion, that the level of the healing art may be different because of individual perception, but should allow patients to minimize pain and the most pleasant feelings toward rehabilitation, as a pursuit of lifetime.
