| Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), a heterogeneous endocrine disorder characterized by hyperandrogenism and chronic oligoanovulation, is one of the common endocrine and metabolic diseases in reproductive age women, which is a group of syndromes with complex causes. This article is a retrospective review relating to researches on PCOS at home and abroad in recent ten years, focusing on the pathogenesis, clinical manifestations, complications, diagnosis and treatment, especially the medical causes, Chinese clinical trials, the experiences of TCM experts. The essay intend to analyze and summary the current researches on PCOS, wish for providing ideas for the further study on the syndrome. |
