Cancer-related fatigue(CRF) is one of the most common side effects of breast cancer patients, makes a serious impact on people's work,learn,play and family lives.CRF and associated factors,especially the Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM) symptoms have not been studied pretty well in our country.Objects:The purposes of this study were to describe the status about CRF in breastcancer patients and to explore factors related to CRF in breast cancer patients.Method:A descriptive design was used.By convenient sampling 200 breast cancer patients from Beijing Chinese Medicine Hospital of Capital Medical University, Guang An Men Hospital of Chinese Academy of TCM, Beijing cancer paradise. The demographic questionnaire Revised Piper Fatigue Scale,Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale, TCM symptoms syndrome Scale were used to collect data. The data were analyzed with software SPSS version 17.0.Results:Approximately 54.5% patients experienced fatigue to some degree.Mean ratings for general fatigue and four dimensions of fatigue were mild to moderate. Anxiety and depression were related to CRF. There were more than 70% the proportion of kidney deficiency syndrome,blood stasis syndrome and stagnation of the liver qi syndrome.Multiple simultaneous regression indicated that anxiety,depression and CRF were major influential factors and contributed to changes of.Conclusion:Most breast cancer patients experienced mild to moderate CRF. There were some factors that could affect cancer-related fatigue such as anxiety and depression.CRF is the risk factors to the kidney deficiency syndrome,blood stasis syndrome and stagnation of the liver qi syndrome.To decrease CRF, we should take some measures to intervene in the main factors primarily.
