BackgroundCRF(Chronic Renal Failure) is the end of chronic renal insufficiency which is brought by many diseases. The sufferers need to be alive by hemodialysis, peritoneoclysis, or renal transplantation. Therefore, it is brought doctors, both internal and overseas, great attention that how to retard the progress of CRF. It is approved that traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM) has the advantage to delay the progress of CRF. The pathogenesis of CRF is complex. A small number of scholars believe that there is blood heat pathogenesis in CRF. Through the clinical observation, we make further analysis and demonstration, which was done basing on theoretical knowledge of both TCM and Western medicine, and we bring up the idea that early and mid-stage CRF has a pathogenesis feature, that is blood heat of heart meridian.ObjectivePrimarily confirmed that early and mid-stage CRF has a pathogenesis feature of blood heat of heart meridian, and primarily studied the distribution of blood heat of heart meridian syndrome in mid-stage CRF.Methods and ResultsMade a questionnaire about syndromes of blood heat of heart meridian. All the 100 early and mid-stage CRF patients included in the study conducted a questionnaire investigation, and the data was analyzed by statistical description and Chi-square test. The result was:In the 100 patients, blood heat of heart meridian syndrome was 82 cases, and non-blood heat of heart meridian syndrome was 18 cases. The specific distribution was:1. Except for 20-29 group, cases of each age group mostly showed blood heat of heart meridian syndrome, especially in the 50-59 group, which took the biggest percent of 92.6%. Conducted Chi-square test, P> 0.05, which indicated that blood heat of heart meridian syndrome had no significant difference in the distribution of each age group.2.88.2% cases showed blood heat of heart meridian syndrome in female, while 78.8% in male. Conducted Chi-square test, P> 0.05, indicating that there was no significant distributed difference between female and male.3.83% cases showed blood heat of heart meridian syndrome in compensatory stage, while 78.8% in decompensatory stage. Conducted Chi-square test, P> 0.05, which showed that there was no significant distributed difference between the two stages.4. Analyzing by primary disease, it respectively accounted for 74.2%,71.4%,92.9%in chronic glomerulo nephridis, hypertention and diabetes, and diabetes took the first place. But conducted Chi-square test, P> 0.05, showing there was no significant distributed difference among the former three primary diseases.ConclusionsEarly and mid-stage CRF has a pathogenesis feature of blood heat of heart meridian. Blood heat of heart meridian syndrome is common in early and mid-stage CRF. In clinical, it should be paid more attention, consequently it can guide the teratment based on syndrome differentiation preferably, and then improve the clinical effect.
