Objective:To investigated the situation of health inspection resources allocation on all levels of the Health Inspection and Supervision system in Shanxi and analyzed the health inspection resources allocation, including the human, financial and material inspection resources. It aimed to find out the reasons that impact the health inspection resources, put forward a proposal which is suitable with Shanxi provincial economic and social development and the need of population, provide a scientific evidence for the reform of health inspection in Shanxi.Methods:By literature search, status survey and filed research to investigate the health inspection and supervision agencies in Shanxi,1 provincial,11 municipal(state),119 counties(cities, districts) Health Inspection and Supervisions. Using the descriptive study and One-way analysis of variance to analyze the data.Results:Up to now, there are 1 provincial,11 municipal and 118 counties health inspection and supervision agencies. Health inspection system in Shanxi has been initially established, but there are some problems which should be solved soon; the government investment is not adequate; the levels of health inspection need to be improved; the equipments is short and so on.Conclusions:To solve the problems above, we need to strengthen the capability of health inspection and optimize the resource allocation further. First of all, government at all levels should increase funding on health inspection, strengthen working condition of infrastructure. Secondly, the guarantee mechanisms need to be further improved. Thirdly, health information network need to be strengthened. Finally, the training to health supervisors need to be increased.
