ObjectiveStudy of syndromes is the base of TCM therapy. At present most of the research on syndromes of AIDS opportunistic infection of herpes zoster are still based on personal experiences and lack of a clinical epidemiologic survey. This study aims to research symptoms of different AIDS people associated herpes zoster. We get the message of the TCM syndrome rule of the two groups of patients, so as to set a foundation of the AIDS'TCM syndrome normalization and determination of treatment based in pathogenesis obtained through differentiation of symptoms and signs.Methods1 Theoretical studyThe author read and screened the overall collected AIDS and herpes zoster literature, then classified the documents and extract the current useful information about the link between the AIDS opportunistic infection of herpes zoster and TCM. The representative literature are selected and analyzed on the etiopathogenisis and the pathogenesis of AIDS and herpes zoster. Sorting and comparing the occurrence frequency of the TCM syndrome in statistics, so as to get the present common syndromes of TCM.2 Clinical study136 AIDS patients infected with herpes zoster are investigated based on the method of Epidemiological study. The study is carried out with group sex, age, seasonal incidence and CD4 T cell count, associated with the disease by statistical analysis of factors.Analyzing the syndrome of 91 pieces AIDS opportunistic infection of herpes zoster patients infected by paid blood-supply and 75 pieces AIDS opportunistic infection of herpes zoster patients infected by intraveneous Drug in statistics. Differentpeople of AIDS opportunistic infection of herpes zoster are compared on the characteristics of syndromes. At last, the chi-square criterion is used on the analysis of AIDS opportunistic infection of herpes zoster syndromes. Results1 Theoretical studyThe clinical manifestation of AIDS opportunistic infection of herpes zoster is alike with the hidden exogenous seasonal diseases. Theory of hidden exogenous seasonal disease could explain the pathogenesis of AIDS opportunistic infection of herpes zoster reasonably. Meanwhile it has its own specificity.Through searching and analyzing the literature from 1983 to 2009 on syndrome of AIDS, statistical analysis of their common syndromes are Qi and Yin deficiency syndrome, dampness and heat syndrome, liver kidney yin deficiency syndrome, hot toxic syndrome, deficiency syndrome of both qi and blood, the syndrome of liver Qi stagnation, spleen deficiency syndrome and blood stasis syndrome.Through searching and analyzing the literature from 1979 to 2009 on syndrome of herpes zoster, statistical analysis of their common syndromes cotain Liver and Gallbladder Dampness-heat syndrome, qi stagnation blood stasis syndrome, heat syndrome of the liver, spleen dampness and heat syndrome, blood stasis syndrome, liver and gallbladder hot toxic syndrome, spleen deficiency and dampness syndrome, liver and kidney Yin deficiency syndrome and Qi and Yin deficiency syndromes.2 Clinical studyIt is indicated that AIDS patients with opportunistic infections herpes zoster involve more men than women, it may infect the people of any age, mostly in the spring and autumn. The incidence of herpes zoster correlation between CD4+ T cell counts and AIDS opportunistic infection was not significant. In AIDS patients infected by blood collection and supply group, the main syndromes include the dampness-heat syndrome in the liver meridian, flaming of liver fire syndrome, deficiency syndrome of spleen Qi, Qi stagnation syndrome, Damp spleen syndrome and blood stasis syndrome. Kidney Yin deficiency syndrome and blood deficiency syndrome are relatively common, Flaming of heart fire syndrome and deficiency of liver Yin syndrome are not common. In AIDS patients infected by intraveneous drug group, the main syndromes include the dampness-heat syndrome in the liver meridian, Damp spleen syndrome, the deficiency syndrome of spleen Qi, flaming of liver fire syndrome, and blood stasis syndrome. Kidney Yin deficiency syndrome, flaming of heart fire syndrome, kidney Yang deficiency syndrome and Qi stagnation syndrome are relatively common. However, blood deficiency syndrome and spleen Yang deficiency syndrome are not common.Through comparative analysis, statistics show that the flaming of liver fire syndromeand and kidney Yin Deficiency between the two groups make no significant difference. The dampness-heat syndrome in the liver meridian and in spleen, the deficiency syndrome of spleen Qi, blood stasis syndrome and flaming of heart fire syndrome in AIDS patients infected by intraveneous drug group occur by a higher rate, however, Qi stagnation syndrome, blood deficiency syndromes in AIDS patients infected by blood collection and supply group have a higher occurrence rate.ConclusionsFirst of all, the study makes conclusions of the pathogenesis and syndromes characteristics from three areas including modern medicine theory for opportunistic infections of AIDS, the TCM theory for e innovative applications and related literature review of AIDS opportunistic infection of herpes zoster. In the second place, the paper reveals the AIDS opportunistic infection in the pathogenesis of herpes zoster, rule and influence factors through Analyzing the epidemiological materials.Last but not least, the syndrome characteristics of AIDS opportunistic infection of herpes zoster are similar in nature between two different groups of patients infected with HIV by various means of blood. Most of the basic syndromes are also the same types, but differences in the distribution, which may be contributed to the reason at different locations, routes of infection, psychological stress and drug dependence factors.
