Doctors' prescription behavior influences and has big impacts on the controls of medical expense, the utilization of medical resource, the management of medical service and economical benefits of doctors, hospitals and patients. It has become an important foundation and key step in affecting all relationships in the medical field. In today's world, as the medical reform gets harder and harder to implement and medicine expense increases every year, concerning how difficult to see a doctor and how expensive to treat a disease, the in-depth research on doctors' prescription behavior and its affecting factors can really show the intrinsic mechanism of above phenomena and this research will have profound significance on making the scientific management policy and the correct countermeasure in dealing with the situation.Doctors' prescription behavior is affected by many elements and its functional mechanism is very complicated. This research work takes the clinic doctors as the subject, adopts the combination of systematic theoretic investigation and practical examples/experimental work to do detailed analysis and exploration on the above mentioned phenomena and related factors. First, based on the comprehensive literature support both from national and international works, using how doctors make the prescription in their decision making process as main thread, this thesis offers detailed analysis and summarizes systematically the major characteristics and factors which affect doctors' prescription behavior. After that, this work applies the state-of-art development in psychology and behavior science (such as consumer's personality, motivation, attitude, social surroundings, etc), and finally builds up the structural diagram of how all kinds of factors affect doctors' prescription. Using this structural diagram as starting point, through the experimental question-and-answer survey and the extended on-site visitation to doctors, the author gathers and cumulates first-hand real and pragmatic data and original material. The thesis adopts several powerful tools, such as Five-Number Summary, Data Regression Analysis Method, and Fishbone Diagram, etc and, combining author's years experience in the medical field, this research work analyzes the relative affecting degree of each factor on doctors' prescription, summarizes the characteristics of all affecting factors and furthermore, proposes and cross-validates the functional mechanism. Finally, combining the results from both theoretic and experimental work, the author offers constructive, realistic suggestion and solution to improve the current status in managing clinic doctors' prescription behavior and hospitals. This thesis has seven chapters. Chapter 1 is introduction, which introduces the significance of this research work, the current state of the area nationally and internationally, and also gives the summary content of this thesis. Chapter 2 talks on the overall review in the related research area, which covers the present development state both in this country and abroad. At the end of chapter, it gives a systematic summary. Chapter 3 elucidates the affecting factors of doctors' prescription behavior of which how they are structured and what their characteristics are. All these are based on applying knowledge of contemporary psychology and behavior science. Chapter 4 is the cross-validation experimental work. It shows the characteristic data of doctors' prescription behavior based on the real experimental ask-and-answer investigations an on-site visitation. Chapter 5, through detailed analysis of real experimental data and theoretic investigations, talks about the mechanism of how doctors' prescription behavior is affected. Chapter 6 gives the solution and suggestion of how to manage doctors' prescription by summarizing previous theoretic and experiment work. Chapter 7 offers the future perspective and draws the realistic and useful conclusion. The current work proposes important method and solution, provides useful and valuable conclusion in further in-depth study on clinic doctors' prescription behavior and its fundamental affecting mechanism. It offers valuable reference and suggestion in managing, decision-making, and elucidating all kinds of intertwined/complicated factors and phenomena, and their intrinsic mechanism.
