Purpose: To observe, the transforming growth factor-β1 (TGF-β1) content of myocardial tissue and serum procollagen type I N-terminal peptide (PICP) level of SHR before and after administration in order to verify the effect of Xiaxi particulate on hypertension target organ protection and reversal of target organ damage in the role.Method: 50 Twelve-week-old spontaneously hypertensive rats (SHR) only (雄雌half), were divided randomly into 5 groups, valsartan group (positive control group), the Xiaxi particulate high, medium and low dose group (experimental group), blank control group; 8 Twelve week-old Wistar-Kyoto rats (WKY) were set as normal control WKY group), water used to boil tap water after the cooling water, without limiting the food intake and water intake. The use of tail artery palpability measurement before delivery, administration of a month, two month administration in rats with blood pressure values, and tested two months after the rats serum PICP concentration measured simultaneously in rat cardiomyocytes in each group Tissue TGF-β1 values.Result:①Compared with the blank control group ,the treatment group had a certain effect on lowered blood pressure, and the valsartan group had an extremely significant statistic sense (P> 0.05). Shows that Xiaxi particulate can inhibit particle-month-old SHR systolic blood pressure increases with the increasing trend.②Compared with the blank control group, serum PICP concentration of particles in the Xiaxi particulate -high, medium and low dose group and valsartan group were reduced, valsartan group was significantly better than the Xiaxi particulate, low-dose group (P <0.01), The valsartan group and the Xiaxi particulates between the high dose group had an extremely significant statistic sense(P> 0.05). Show that Xiaxi particulate high-dose group and valsartan group in the reduction of serum procollagen type 1 carboxy-terminal peptide concentration similar role.③Compared with the blank group, valsartan group and the Xiaxi particulates high dose group particles reduce myocardial tissue content of the effect of TGF-β1 significantly (P <0.01), the Xiaxi particulates in low-dose group no significant reduction in myocardial tissue the role of TGF-β1 content. Valsartan and high dose group had reduced the role of TGF-β1, valsartan group and Xiaxi particles high dose group had an extremely significant statistic sense (P> 0.05), shows that both the prevention and reversal of left ventricular hypertrophy in a similar role.④Compared with the blank group, the Xiaxi particulates high-dose group and valsartan group had no significant thickening of myocardial fibers, no significant inter-band gap, the small blood vessels around calmly see a small amount of collagen fibers; Xiaxi particulates, the low-dose Group A: myocardial fiber thickening reduced band gap increases, myocardium and small blood vessels around the muscle bundle, the middle volume of collagen fibers can be seen calmly. Shows that Xiaxi particulates high dose group and valsartan must have the role of group the protection of high blood pressure in the reversal of target organ damageConclusion: Xiaxi particles had an exact effect on SHR Hypertension. It can reduce the serum PICP concentration, and the effect of high-dose group is particularly evident, it can also prevent and reverse target organ damage in SHR, Considering its mechanism related with improving the serum PICP concentration and myocardial TGF -β1 content, therefore it is a great research value and has a application prospect of the Traditional Chinese Medicine.
