Summer Knee Particle Experiments On Spontaneously Hypertensive Rats Serum Mmp-1, P �� Np Impact

【Objective】The research was To observe effects of Xiaxi granules on blood pressure and MMP-1,PIIINP in serum of spontaneously hypertensive rats ,and to investigate the effects on left ventricular and its mechanism.【Methods】All the 12-week-old SHR were assigned randomly into 5 groups, 10 per set: the group treated with Valsartan (the positive control group ), the blank control groups, the other three groups treated with different doses of Xiaxi granules recipe. 8 Normal Wistar-Kyoto (WKY)-rats were used as control group .After 8-week-treatments, By using SHR blood pressure measuring machine and several biochemical techniques, systolic blood pressure(SBP), MMP-1,PIIINP concentration in serum,left ventricular mass index(LVMI)were measured.【Results】Compared with the blank control groups ,the degree of the improvement of blood pressure, LVMI and MMP-1,PIIINP concentration in serum of the therapy group was better than that of the control group significantly (p<0.05).【Conclusions】Xiaxi granules can reduce hypertension evidently. The high dose group was evident. Xiaxi granules can preserve and reverse left ventricular hypertrophy , Its mechanism may be related to modify MMP-1,PIIINP in serum and it is worth considering as a promising Chinese material medica for the treatment of hypertension.
