Objective: To review the TCM research on asthma, discussion the risk factors of asthma through case-reviewing study and provide relative basis and methods of prevention and treatment of the disease.Method: Case-control study was used to collect the information from 150 cases of asthma and 153 cases of non-asthma respiratory diseases.The information included general social demographic characteristics, genetic factors, enviromental factors and specific allergen,etc.Results: Comparing the asthma group and the non-asthma group, that history of parents asthma, bacteria infection, cold stimulation, post cold-induced asthma, pollen/dust, smoke or other odor exposure, drug allergy history and alcoholism, reflux esophagitis between the two groups statistically significant differences; while the other first-degree relatives of persons, smoking history, the existence of allergic rhinitis or pharyngitis history, the dust mites,perfume,animal fur, the existence of the history of food allergy between the two groups was statistically no significant difference.Conclusion: history of parents asthma, bacteria infections, cold stimulation, post cold-induced asthma, pollen / dust, smoke or other odor exposure, drug allergy history and alcoholism, reflux esophagitis interact with asthma. Prompted bronchial asthma is a complex disease witch genetic factors, environmental factors and other factors lead to.
