Objective: To look for etiopathogenisis, pathogenesis, regularity of morbidity and provide theory for clinical prevention and cure, analyze the clinical symptom of patients with bronchial asthma. Methods: 290 patients with asthma from the first hospital of Shanxi Medical University were studied retrospectively from January 2000 to October 2004.It was reviewed that sexual, age, profession, causative factor, history of allergy and family, seasons of coming on etc, coming from 290 patients with asthma. Results: ①290 patients were divided into three groups according to age(≤14 years,14~50 years,>50 years).1) According to hospitalized age, there are significant different in three groups (p<0.01),the male(≤14 years) 62.86% and (>50 years) 51.39%.②age:In 290 patients, there are 70 cases(24.14%) younger than 14 years and 72(24.83%) older than 50 years. In 211 adult(≥20 years) patients,17 cases(8%) have first asthmatic symptom before 14 years old.③allergy history, family history, occupation:In 290 patients, 87(30%) patients have obvious allergy history.37(12.76%) patients have family history of asthma,16(5.52%) patients have obvious vocational contact factor.④etiological factor:141(48.62 % ) patients have obvious etiological factor(respiratory infection).⑤seasons: Asthma has obvious seasonable.⑥clinical symptom: 278(95.86%) patients having clinical symptom of chest distress, breathlessness, pursiness account for 95.86%.46 cases(15.86%)were misdiagnosised and 125(43.10%) cases have complication including lung infection which is 15.86%,anaphylactic disease 29(10.00%),etc.The usual seasons that asthma coming on are July,August and September, which occupy 36% of all patients. Conclusions: ①Both children(≤14 years)and aged people(>50 years) have more than other aged people in asthma patients, while the female(14~50 years) is higher. It is supposed that the constituent ratio with disease in male(≤14years,>50 years) is higher, while the constituent ratio with disease in female(14~50 years) is higher.②The constituent ratio with disease is higher under 14 years, patients, and the constituent ratio with disease is higher in older patients.③Both genetic and enviremental factors are important risk factors for asthma patients.④Respiratory infection is the most important factor that leads to and induces the disease.⑤Asthma has obvious season of coming on and period in a day.⑥Asthma is related to hypersensitivity disease etc.⑦The incidence rate of patient( > 50) with complication is highest, but the incidence rate of patients(≤14) with complication is second to the patients(>50).
