Different Frequencies Of Electroacupuncture On Acute Spinal Cord Injury In Rats, Mda, Sod, And Glu Affect Experimental Research

Acute spinal cord injury is a common but serious disability,which often lead to paraplegia and easily caused complications and even death. It brought about many negative effects to society and people's lives.For a long time,people have devoted to do the research on the basic and clinical studies of this disease,and try to find out more effective treatments.This issue chose one of the electroacupuncture parameters--frequency of electro-acupuncture,and focused on the restoration of spinal cord injury by different frequencies,then hope to provide a frame of reference for the clinical and laboratory studies.This paper is divided into three parts including literature review,laboratory research and conclusion analysis.The paper is divided into three parts as follows:First Part Literature ReviewThere are three aspects which have looked back the late research survey of spinal cord injury(SCI) at home and aboard.There are four aspects of comment including mechanism research of SCI,treatment methods of SCI, choice of animal models and parameters influencing effects of electro-acupuncture.Second Part Laboratory ResearchObjective:To discuss the changes of Malondialdehyde(MDA),superoxide dismutase(SOD) and glutamate(Glu) in spinal cord of the rats suffering from acute SCI which were treated by different frequencies of electro-acupuncture.It can provide some reference for clinical therapy and laboratory research.Method:To observe the rats of acute spinal cord injury as experimental models,which were randomly divided into blank group,model group,2Hz electro-acupuncture group,50Hz electro-acupuncture group and 100Hz electro-acupuncture group.Select Dazhui,Mingmen as acupuncture therapeutic points.Through the content test of MDA,SOD and Glu in the spinal cord,as well as observation of changes in spinal cord slices,to determine which of the three is the most helpful frequency electro-acupuncture for the treatment of acute spinal cord injury.Result:Results show:(1) after acupuncturing Dazhui and Mingmen,content of MDA in acupuncture groups decreased in different levels.Compared with model group it was obvious(P＜0.05),compared with blank group it was close (P＞0.05) and it was most obvious in 100Hz electro-acupuncture group.(2) After acupuncturing Dazhui and Mingmen,content of SOD in every group increased in different levels.Compared with model group,difference is great in 100Hz electro-acupuncture group(P＜0.05) and the content of SOD raised obviously in 100Hz electro-acupuncture group(P＜0.05).(3) After acupuncturing Dazhui and Mingmen,content of Glu in acupuncture groups decreased in different levels.Compared with model group it was obvious (P＜0.05),compared with blank group it was close(P＞0.05) and it was most obvious in 100Hz electro-acupuncture group.Third Part Conclusion AnalysisThe electro-acupuncture groups of three different frequencies can decrease the level of MDA,increase the activity of SOD and decrease the content of Glu,which can reduce the damage of free radicals and protect never cells.It has a positive therapeutic effect for the repair of spinal cord injury.In the three treatment frequencies,100Hz frequency is the best one.
