This subject mainly researches on processing technology and quality standards of Coke Hawthorn. In terms of Pharmacopoeia, processing norms, and literature research, meanwhile by means of physical and chemical experiments in association with pharmacological experiments, we've explored and established standardized processing technology and controllable herbal slice quality standards of Coke Hawthorn. In the process of research, the strong operable process technology with adequate technology parameters has been established based on desired characters of Coke Hawthorn, using the chrominance identifying instrument to determine the inner and exterior color of processing stuff, employing total flavonoids and total organic acids of Coke Hawthorn as synthetic index, selecting orthogonal test and screening optimized processing conditions and through the validation of pilot-scale experiments. During process research, pharmacological experiments were designed in order to discuss the evaluation of chaojiao methods and indicators, and other general problems. The digestion function of over-charred Coke Hawthorn, medium -charred Coke Hawthorn, under-charred Coke Hawthorn and adusted Coke Hawthorn are compared to that of Hawthorn. The experiment results indicate that each group of water-extracted component can promote stomach evacuating and intestinal advancing of normal rats, as well as increase the slow stomach evacuating and intestinal advancing abilities of rats caused by Atropine Sulfate, however, medium -charred Coke Hawthorn represented best results, showing "huohou" has relation with herbal slice effect. The quality standard draft of Coke Hawthorn has been improved. Main contents include characters, differentials (Powder microscopic identification and TLC), inspection (moisture content and ash content), extract content, hyperin content and total organic Acid content. Moisture content can't be over 10.0 percent, ash content can't be over 3.0%, extract content can't be under 20.0 percent, Hyperin (C21H20O12) content and total organic Acid content can't be under 0.01 percent and 4.0 percen in dry samples.To sum up, in this paper the process parameters were obtained of coked Hawthorn and facilitated standardize its processing process, as well as research and improve the quality control standard. At the same time, online non-contact infrared temperature measuring technology was introduced to study the related issues about "huoli and huohou" of coked Hawthorn, the chrominance identifying instrument was introduced to evaluate the color of the "huohou" of coked Hawthorn. The research ideas and technical means were intended to provide the reference to the researches on other charred pharmaceuticals.
