ObjectivesThis paper composed of two partial contents which included the theoretical discussion and clinical application of the literature research of the eight influential points.The theoretical discussion of the eight influential points mainly summarized from "Yellow Emperor's Inner Canon" to modern literature the eight influential points related elaboration.MethodsSearch 703 Chinese medicine ancient books in the past of Qing Dynasty and Qing Dynasty.among them the ancient book which involves this subject counts 200 and publishes the article in the medical magazine at home and abroad during 1998-2008.ResultsIn theoretical research of the literature,cure the families modernly and mostly continue to use the research theory of eight influential points in the ancient literature,mainly pass from returning,position,point nature, prove eight influential points,offer the abundant theoretical foundation for determination of eight influential points.(1) Influential point of Zang organs-ZhangmenRecord in the ancient literature the range of curing of Zhangmen mainly concentrates on the digestive system,for instance "apocleisis"," vomit",etc.but among now literature,while being contemporary,apply this point to cure the diseases of breathing,nervous system,etc.for instance asthma,insomnia,etc.(2) Influential point of Fu organs-ZhongwanAncient literature record Zhongwan mainly to cure disease of circulatory system and digestive system mainly,for instance "chest pain ", "abdominal distension ",etc.In the contemporary literature,it cures mainly disease of locomotion system and gynecological disease,etc.such as ankylosing,spondylosis,menoxenia,dysfunctional uterine bleeding etc.(3) Influential point of Qi-DanzhongIn the literature is recorded in ancient times,it mainly treat respiratory disease,for instance "coughing ","asthma",etc.But in the contemporary literature,expand to the diseases circulatory system,locomotion system, etc.For instance angina pectoris,frozen shoulder,etc. (4) Influential point of Blood-GeshuIn the ancient literature,it only confine to cure the diseases of the digestive system and circulatory system,for instance " vomit"," chest pain ",etc,In the contemporary literature,it cures mainly skin disease,disease of reproductive system and immune system,etc.such as analeptic, sterility and leukocyte reduce disease.(5) Influential point of Tendon-YanglingquanAmong the ancient literature,it mainly cure the disease of locomotion system,such as the knee aches,the knee can't crook to stretch,but in the contemporary literature,it have already applied to and treated the diseases of digestive system and nervous system,etc.extensively,for instance diseases such as cholecystitis,facial paralysis,etc.(6) Influential point of Vessel-TaiyuanIn the ancient literature record,it mainly cures the disease of respiratory system,for instance coughing,asthma,etc.And has already widely used in the locomotion system,disease in the urological system, etc.now,such as shoulder week inflammation,enuresis,etc.(7) Influential point of Bone-DazhuIn the ancient literature record,Dazhu has function of strong muscles and bones,can be used for treating all osteopathy,for instance low back pain,etc.In the contemporary literature,it can be used in diseases of the circulatory system,nervous system,etc.for instance angina pectoris, brain apoplexy sequels,etc.(8) Influential point of Marrow-XuanzhongIn the ancient literature record,it mainly used into cure spleen and stomach illness like apocleisis,and tinea pedis is the main fact ancient times.In the contemporary literature,it mainly used to treat the diseases of the movement system and nervous system,such as sciatica,apoplexy.ConclusionThrough comparing,it is easy to find out eight influential points recorded in the medical ancient book and modern literature cures mainly disease and basically conforms,rely mainly on treating affiliated passages through which vital energy circulates and communicating strange illness that pass.But with the modern science and technology constantly,widely apply to the medical field,have enriched acupuncture and moxibustion treatment means greatly,for instance the application that electro-acupuncture,magnet needle,medicine point injected etc.have expanded the treatment range of eight influential points accordingly.In addition employ eight influential points treatment some emerging disease and application modern technological means disease that diagnose also when being modern and clinical.
