The study has in the quality and applying research of commonly used Chinese pharmacy herbal Folium Syringae.In the respect of the quality research, which adopted the methods of TLC to identify protocatechuic acid, protocatechual dehyde, tyrosol; which adopted the methods of UV-Vis spectrophotometry to determine 3,4-dihydroxyphenethyl alcohol and 3,4-dihydroxybenzoic acid that were calculated with protocatechuic acid; which adopted the methods of HPLC to determine protocatechuic acid , tyrosol, caffeic acid; which established the methods that simultaneous determination of protocatechuic acid and tyrosol in Folium Syringae and the similar varieties by HPLC; which studied on fingerprint of Folium Syringae by HPLC.In the applying research, which improved the technology and quailty standard of Yanlixiao Pian.Through the research of this stutdy, we can control the quailty of Folium Syringae and establish the stability foundation for the exploitation of Folium Syringae.
