Results: The major symptoms of this headache are vomit, cold in extremity, fear cold, fatigue, inappetence, pasty complexion, nausea, swirl and swimming, lazy, cold in head, pale tongue, thin and white or white and greasy tongue, deep and thready pulse or weak pulse or wiry and thready pulse; Medicine categories commonly used are the qi-restorative, warming interior, diaphoretic, the madicine of promoting blood circulation and removing blood stasis, liver wind calmed, antitussives and anti-asthmatics medicine and so on; The medicine in common use are Chinese evodia rutaecarpa, undried ginger, radix ginseng, szechuan lovage rhizome, asarum, acontum fischeri monkshood, Chinese angelica, Chinese herbaceous peony, cassia twig, Pinellia tuber, tuckahoe, dried ginger; The major channel tropism of the medicine are liver channel and spleen channel; The five flavors of the medicine are most in pungent, sweet and bitter. Conclusions: Though the pathogenesis of the chronic headache which belong to the pattern of deficiency and internal cold are complex, there also have some determinate laws we can abide by. Under the direcrion of reinforcing Yang's Systematic academic thought, the level of examining and treating the chronic headache will be improved.
