Rhubarb, Licorice Soup Side Dialectical Enema Treatment Of Sepsis, Gastrointestinal Dysfunction Efficacy Observed

Objective: Observing the curative effect of Dahuang Gancao RealatingDecoctions treating Sepsis with gastrointestinal dysfunction and preventingSepsis to MODS and death. Discussing the new way in treating Sepsis withgastrointestinal dysfunction in traditional Chinese medicine.Methods: 1. object of study origin: All the 87 example cases takes fromJanuary, 2007 from to January, 2008 admits in Guang'anmen HospitalEmergency medical treatment and ICU. 47 are male:while 40 are female. Theaverage age is 52.97 years old. 2. division: This project altogethergathers 87 example cases which is divieded into two groups: managementgroup(MG), containing 44 cases; control group(CG), containing 43 cases.They all receive standard Westen and Chinese combination treatments. While,the MG are given Dahuang Gancao Realating Decoctions enema 200ml, thecontrol group are given 0.9%NaCl enema 200ml. The treatment course willlast for 7 days. Contrast the mark changes of the gastrointestinaldysfunction and APACHEШ. Compare the curative effects, the proportion ofthe cases from Sepsis to MODS and the death rate.Result: 1. patient common condition: Two groups of patients in gender,age and APACHEⅢhad non-significance difference (P> 0.05), and have thebalanced commeasurability. 2 the marks of gastrointestinal dysfunction ofthe two groups are both lower down after treatment,while the degree of theMG reduces surpass the CG(p< 0.05).MG total effectiveness is 81.8%, CGtotal effectiveness is 46.5%, two groups of comparisons has the remarkable difference (p< 0.05). In the MG, the proportion of from Sepsis to MODS is27.3%, while in the CG, it is 65.1%, two groups compares, has theremarkable difference (p< 0.05). The MG death rate is 18.2%, the CG is41.9%, two group of comparison differences remarkable (p<0.05).Conclusion: Dahuang Gancao Realating Decoctions has some effects ontreting gastrointestinal dysfunction, reducing the proportion from Sepsisto MODS and the case fatality rate. It provides us a new way in practicaltreatment of gastrointestinal dysfunction.
