Clinical Observation On The Effects Of Idiopathic Macular Epiretinal Membrane Treated With Shaoyao Gancao Decoction And Dahuang Zhechong Pill

Objective: According to the pathogenesis and syndrome characteristics o f idiopathic macular epiretinal membrane(IMEM),the modified formula of S haoyao Gancao Decoction combined with Dahuang Zhechong Pill were applied to the treatment of IMEM,guided by the concept of "treating diseases bef ore they occur" and the theory of "Yin of liver and Yang of body",and bas ed on the principles of nourishing blood,softening liver,relieving spas m and removing blood stasis and dredging collaterals.To evaluate the clin ical efficacy of IMEM by observing the relevant indicators,and to provide a basis and a new method for the prevention and treatment of IMEM.Methods:Sixty patients with IMEM who met the inclusion criteria were se lected and then divided into two groups.Thirty patients of 35 eyes in the treatment group were treated with Shaoyao Gancao Decoction plus Dahuang Zhechong Pills,while 38 eyes in the control group were treated with Comp ound Xueshuantong Capsule and Vitamin B1 Tablets,6 weeks as a course of t reatment,a total of four courses of treatment.Visual acuity and OCT signs (including:CFT,MRT,RCA and RCA inner capsule area,CPRT),Amsler surface d eformation area,systemic symptoms and signs were recorded before and aft er treatment in the two groups,before and after treatment.In comparison,the clinical efficacy was evaluated.Results:(1)In the treatment group,30 cases(35 eyes)had BCVA of 0.41±0.25,0.46±0.27 before and after treatment,CFT was 372.86±133.22,343.11±130.94,and the total effective rate was 96.67%.In the control group,30cases(38 eyes)had BCVA of 0.44±0.22 and 0.41±0.22 before and after tr eatment,CFT was 340.68±125.33,and 362.21±127.40,and the total effective rate was 73.33%.The treatment group was superior to the control group(P<0.05).(2)There were significant differences in BCVA,CFT,MRT,RCA,retinal cyst area and Amsler table in the comparison within the group(P<0.05),and there was a significant difference between the two groups(P<0.05).There was no significant difference between the two groups of CPRT before and after treatment(P>0.05).There was no significant differences in the comp arison within the group(P<0.05),and there was no significant difference between the two groups(P<0.05).(3)There was a negative correlation between CFT,MRT,RCA and BCVA(P<0.05).CPRT was positively correlated with BCVA.There was no correlation betw een RCA inner capsule area and BCVA(P>0.05).MRT,RCA,RCA inner capsule ar ea,CFT was correlated with each other(P<0.05),and was positively correlat ed,and had no correlation with CPRT(P>0.05).(P>0.05).Conclusion:The treatment of IMEM with Shaoyao Gancao Decoction plus Da huang Zhechong Pills,can significantly improve the clinical symptoms and signs of the eye,improve or maintain vision,improve visual function,dela y the development of idiopathic macular epiretinal membrane,and improve prognosis.
