Stagnation And Pain As Treating Efficacy Of Coronary Heart Disease With Depression

Coronary artery atherosclerotic heart disease (CHD) is a sort of common disease which has a serious hazard for human health. CHD patients represent more serious psychological disorder. Major depression(MD) is appeared in CHD patients with psychological disorder. The diagnosis and treatment of CHD patients with MD is of great significance to modifying disease and improving the quality of life . There has been a lot of evidence in clinical reseach which have demonstrated that Western medicine, psychological therapy are effective for modifying CHD with MD. The research of TCM in this field needs more development and discovery.OBJECTIVE: This study was undertaken to investigate the therapeutic effect of Jieyuzhitongfang prescription by the addition and subtraction on CHD patients with minor and moderate MD and explore standardized Chinese medicine treatment of CHD with MD .METHODS: The objects of study were inpatients or long term outpatients of Dongfang hospital in September 2007 to 2008 in April, a total of 60 cases. 60 patients with CHD patients with MD were randomly divided into observed group and the control group.A hamilton depression rating scale for depression( HAMD) was used, before treatment, after treatment for two weeks by a professional psychological physician; Chinese symptom scale was filled by one experienced practitioner in Traditionl Chinese medicine for patients.The two groups were on the basis of conventional CHD treatment and psychological treatment ,one group was treated Jieyuzhitongfang prescription by the addition and subtraction, and the other group did not use Chinese medicine treatment. SPSS13.0 statistical software were used between the two groups for the HAMD total score, efficient, Chinese symptoms observed efficient, HAMD four factor points for statistical analysis.RESULTS:The two groups in the gender distribution, age distribution, a type of coronary heart disease, the risk factors for CHD was no significant difference; The two groups HAMD total score after the second week of treatment were significantly different (P <0.05), the observed group was 100% efficiency, the efficiency of the control group was 80% , Chinese symptom scales between the two groups were statistically significantly different ; sleep disorders, feelings weak, somatic symptoms had a significant difference, while anxiety and depression difference was not statistically significant.CONCLUSIONS: Jieyuzhitongfang has a certain effect in treating CHD patients with minor and moderate MD.T The observed group had been demonstrated better effect in sleep disturbance, feelings weak, somatic symptoms medicine group than the control group, t no significant difference could be observed in modifying anxiety and depression between observed group and control group.
