Danshen Extract On Chicken Chorioallantoic Angiogenesis In Experimental Research

Objective: To investigate angiogenesis of salB and TanshinoneIIA, the active components of Radix Salviae Miltiorrhizae, as well as multi-herb, a chicken chorioallantoic membrane (CAM) model was established and the vessel numbers were observed by micrographe.Methods: 110 LaiHang eggs, hatched for a week, were divided into 13 groups,including high(45 ug/10ul),middle(30 ug/10ul),,low(15 ug/10ul) dose of salB and Tanshinone IIAgroups, high doses of salB(30 ug/10ul)+PNS(30ug/10ul),middle doses of salB(30 ug/10ul)+PNS(20ug/10ul),low doses of salB(15 ug/10ul)+PNS(10ug/10ul)groups, high(60 ug/10ul),middle(30 ug/10ul) and low(15ug/10ul) doses of bFGF groups, and a saline group. Every group was put onthe carriers of CAM and observed to get quantitative data for statistics after specimens were made.Results:1. Observations of first angiogenesis in CAM specimens1.1 There was a significant difference between bFGF(60ug),salB(30ug),salB(30ug)+NT(high,middle,low) groups and the saline group(P <0.01),and also adifference with SalB (15ug) group (P <0.05);1.2 There was a significant difference between bFGF group and the saline group,SalB (45ug) group,each group of tanshinone IIA (P <0.01) , and also adifference with SalB (15ug) group (P <0.05).2. Observations of second angiogenesis in CAM specimens2.1 There was a significant difference between bFGF(60ug),salB(30ug),salB(30ug)+NT(high,middle,low) groups and the saline group. (P <0.01) ; and also a difference with SalB (15ug) group (P <0.05).2.2 There was a significant difference between NS, salB(15ug), salB(45ug),each group of Tanshinone IIA and bFGF group (P <0.01).3. Observations of first and second angiogenesis in CAM specimens3.1 There was a significant difference between bFGF(60ug),salB(30ug),salB(30ug)+NT(high,middle,low)groups and the saline group (P <0.01);3.2 There was a significant difference between NS, salB(15ug), salB(45ug) each group of TanshinoneIIA and bFGF group (P <0.01). Conclusions: There were significant effects of SalB30ug group and SalB +PNS (low) group, SalB + PNS (middle) group, SalB + PNS (high) groups in promoting angiogenesis(P <0.01), and multi-herb had better effects than bFGF group.
