Summary Of Progress With Clinical Observations Of Acute Gouty Arthritis

Gout is a disease caused by disorder of purin metabolization, acute gouty arthritis is the first symptom of gout, which is a big problem for the gout patient, a handicap for the daily life, and a burden of the society. Nowadays, the side-effect of west medicine cause it can not be widely used in clinic to treat gout.There are many reports about gout in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) way, like treating gout based on differentiation, period, integration of Traditional and West Medicine (WM), combination of internal and external methods, acupuncture, or special formula .Whereas, there is lack of contrast between TCM and WM, integration of Traditional and West Medicine. There is more modification of formula than stable formula.My paper is a collection of the envelopment on TCM treatment in these years, at the same time I summarized some treatment experience of my tutor Zhang Xiaoyun on acute gouty arthritis. At the guidance of my tutor, I finished clinical study on 60 acute gouty arthritis patients, the contrast between treatment group with TONG FENG KE LI and controlled group with west medicine. The results verify TONG FENG KE LI can soothe the joint pain rapidly, expel the swollen of the joints, decrease uric acid and induce urine. It manifests the superiority of TCM with good curative effect and little side-effect.
