The experimental study of he different regulative effects by electro-acupuncture with different retention times on obese ratsObjective: To observe the different regulative effects by electro-acupuncture with different retention times on obese rats,analyse the best retention times of electro-acupuncture to guide clinical pratice.Methods: 50 SD rats which are 21 days age were randomly divided into 2 groups with 10 rats in blank control group 40 rats in model group. Rats in the blank control group were fed with basic diet everyday, while the rest groups were fed with high fat diet everyday for six weeks. After six weeks, the weight of rats in the model group were 20% paranormal blank model were succefful. the successful model rats were randomly divided into 4 groups: model group, retention 10 min group, retention 30min group and retention 60 min group. The rats in electric acupuncture groups were treated with 2/100Hz,2mA,one time per day and retention 10min, 30min, 60minrespectively while the rats in blank control group and model group were treated at the same time, with no acupuncture. After 10 days'treatment all the rats were killed to draw the materials.Results:1. Electro-acupuncture can prominently reduce the weight of the obese rats. It shows that acupuncture can restrain the increase of the weight of the obese rats. But there were no obviously difference between the electro-acupuncture groups.2. The leptin content in the blood of obese rats was obviously higher than the rats in control group. The leptin content in the blood of electro-acupuncture groups ( retention 10 min group ) was lower than obese rats. It shows that acupuncture can reduce the numerical value of the ratio of leptin. The leptin content in the thalamencephalon and the ratio of leptin in the thalamencephalon and blood of obese rats were no obviously difference between the electro-acupuncture groups.3. The blood sugar content of the obese rats was obviously higher than the natural rats. The blood sugar content of the obese rats was obviously higher than electro-acupuncture groups. There were no obviously difference between the electro-acupuncture groups. It shows that acupuncture can reduce the blood sugar content, and make it been normal. The content of the tricylglycerol and the total cholestertol of the obese rats were no obviously difference between the model group and the electro-acupuncture groups.4. The fattiness around the kidney and the spermary of the obese rats no obviously difference between the model group and the electro-acupuncture groups.Conclusion:1. Electro-acupuncture can restrain the increase of the weight of the obese rats. There were no obviously difference between the different retention time.2. Electro-acupuncture ( retention 10 min group ) can reduce the leptin of the blood. There were no obviously difference between the retention 30 min group and retention 60 min group.3. Electro-acupuncture can reduce the blood sugar content, and make it been normal. There were no obviously difference between the different retention time.4. Electro-acupuncture can reduce the fattiness numerical value of the obese rats. There were no obviously difference between the different retention time.
