Path Analysis, Type 2 Diabetes Patient Quality Of Life Impact Factors And Intervention

Objective: Exploring the factors that influence the Quality of life of Type 2 diabetes and evaluating the extent of the influence factors'effect to the Quality of life .The study provide the based intervention for improving Quality of life of Type 2 diabetes .Methods: During June, 2007-October, 2007, one hundred and thirty eight Type 2 diabetes patients in Endocrine of Shanxi province people hospital participated in the study. To investigate the current situation of the Type 2 diabetes patients, social support level, subjective sense of Diabetes and Quality of life. They completed the ways of psychological scales, such as DSQL, SSRS , SCL-90,IBQ. Using Path analysis analyzed mechanism of psychological and social factors that influence Quality of life.Results:1. The Quality of life of Type 2 diabetes patients was worse. Impaired factors from the worst to the general: physiological, psychological function, social relation, treatment effects, total score.2. Factors that influence the Quality of life were course, subjective sense of Diabetes, complications of Diabetes and social support and so on.Conclusion:Factors that affect the Quality of life of Type 2 diabetes patients were course, subject sense of Diabetes, complications of Diabetes and social support and so on. , especially the most important factor was social support: the subjective sense of Diabetes that through intervening variable affect the Quality of life of Type 2 diabetes patients. The subjective sense of Diabetes'direct role in influence the Quality of life was weak. But it's indirect effect was large. Using Path analysis initial inferred path of influence factors.
