Background and ObjectiveChronic gastritis is a disease of stomach cased by different harmful elements.The pathologic transformation is localized in the mucous membrane,for the mechanism of the CG is not clear,the doctors trained in Western medicine have no effective cure for the CG,and the relapse after the suspend of the medicine ,the side effect with the medicine,is not idel for the obstinate case.Trad.Ch.medicine has its superiority in the treatment of CG,displays in reducing the rate of the relapse case,improving the quality of life and its safety,its totality curative effect is better than Western medicine.The topic is beginning with the injure of the mucous membrane,the infection of Hpylori,deeply aproach the mechanism of the regression of CG,use the trad.Ch.medicine jiaweisinisan to intervene it,to appraises the curative efect of preventing CG to relapse,estabilish firmly about the new train of thought and method with the trad.Ch.medicine jiaweisinisan resist the CG to relapse,seek the theory basis of the resistion for the regression of CG.MethodsThe study is strictly designed under the guidance of GUIDELINE FOR NEW DRUGS CLINICAL TRIALS(2002)Guidelines for Treament of Chronic Gastritis with Chinese Mateia Medica,in combination with actual clincical situation,adopting random positive control method,on the basis of diagnosis criterion established on Inflammatory Chronic Gastritis at Chongqing in 1982,90 case of Chronic Gastritis patients was selected from out-patient clinic (OPD) and ward of Dongzhimen Hosipital,China-Japan Friendship Hosipital,Dongfang Hosipital,treated group rececived jiaweisinisan (Chinese Thorowax Root 10g,Immature Orange Fruit 10g,White Peony Root 10g,Liquorice Root 10g,Common perilla stem 10g,Dried Tangerine Peel 10g,Officinal Magnolia Bark 10g,Radish Seed(stir-fried) 10g,Hawthorn Fruit(charred) 10g,Medicated Leaven Massa(charred) 10g,Germinated Barley(charred) 10g,Areca Seed(charred) 10g),control group received Domperidone Maleate(10mg/ tid),Almagate Suspension(15ml/tid).Both treatment course was 3 motnths,and atteng 6 months,main observed index:Theraputic effect,including clinical general effect,change of TCM syndrome,therapeutic effect of mucous membrane under gastroscope,therapeutic effect of mucous membrane under microscope,endoscopic index.We also detected in 20 normal persons as normal control.ResultsObservation of therapeutic effect1.Clinical general therapeutic effect of treated group is better than control group(p<0.001);the total remission percentage of two group (vs),total effective percentage of two group(vs),the satistic significant is different,treated group is obviously better than control group.2.After treatment,the relapse rate in six months of treated group is obviously lower than that of control group(p<0.001).3.Syndrome scores of treated group was dropped apparently,the forward improvement of treated group is better than control group(p<0.001).4.There was no obvious ill-effect on treated group,but three cases of control group had ill-effect,one case stopped receiving treatment because of it.5.After six months of treatment,the pathologic grade and endoscope grade of the treated group significantly lower than control group(p<0.001).6.After six months of treatment,the qualities of the treated group were significiantly better than control group(p<0.001).ConclusionsWe have got satisfied therapeutic effect in treating CG by using jiaweisinisan ,and the therapeutic effect was obiviously better than Domperidone Maleate and Almagate Suspension.Espcially in the TCM syndrome, gastroscopic index and pathologic index,showed its superiority in the betterment of living quality.Compared with western medicine,it had no obvious side effect.The following is the mechanism of jiaweisinisan:1. Dispersing the depressed liver-energy and regulating the flow of qi, promoting digestion and relexing the bowels, dehumidifing and controlling nausea and vomiting, nourishing the stomach and relieving.Renovating the mucous membrane.2.Improving the qualities of the patiants.Therefore,we consider that jiaweisinisan has the role of renovating the mucous membrane, restraining mucosa injury,promoting repair,so can prevents recur after recover.
