With the improvement of people's living standard, people pay more and more attention to the diet. There are various kinds of food and dental caries become much more serious. Thus the prevention of dental caries is full of practical significance. Traditional treatment of dental caries costs plenty of time, money as well as various oral inconveniences during the period. So it is the main objective to prevent caries from mineral loss and achieve early caries remineralization of preventive dentistry. However, to achieve this objective would require that detecting the lesion in the initial stage, so that the caries can be cured before surgery. In addition, Medical technology, biochemistry, photoelectric detection technology, computer technology have been developed quickly, it has broad prospects that we make application of photoelectric detection and computer technology in the medical field. It plays a tremendous role in improving the level of detection and treatment.Quantitative light-induced fluorescence technology is a new optical detection technology in recent years, which detects dental caries through the comparison of the natural fluorescence of teeth and demineralization of enamel loss of fluorescence. As its non-invasion, highly detection speed, lesion visibility, repeatability and other advantages, it will become the future trend of the development of dental clinics. In this paper, the system design is based on the application of quantitative light-induced fluorescence technology in caries diagnosisFirstly, the current state of development of caries detection technology is introduced both at home and abroad, the differences of various methods are compared in detail, and a caries detection system design is presented on the basis of quantitative light-induced fluorescence technology. Secondly, the whole design process of QLF system is discussed in detail, and the design of the whole optical system is presented on the basis of theoretical analysis and optical software simulation by introducing the principle of this technology in detail, including how to choose the light source, how to design the lighting optical system and fluorescence collection system. Thirdly, the experimental platform is set up on the basis of this theory, experiments are carried out and a series of dental caries are made analysis on according to the experimental results so that the feasibility of the design is proved. In this paper, the basic approach of the fluorescent images is also discussed, the corresponding software is compiled, and the images processing and data analysis of the experimental results are also done, so the quantitative detection and visual observation are achieved in the end.Finally, the various factors existed in the experimental testing are analyzed and ways to improve the system are proposed.
