Caries,as the third largest focused non-communicable diseases in the world after vascular disease and cancer, has not been given social attention enough. With the improvement of people’s living standards, caries,as one of the diseases that serious threat to people’s quality of life and health,is getting more and more attention in recent years.Plaque is the culprit of dental caries. Acidic substances produced by plaque destroyed the balance of demineralization in the tooth, which results in dental caries mineralization. This article is based on the auto-fluorescence spectra differences, combined with the principles of colorimetry and image science knowledge, proposed to X/Y as an argument for a method to analyze the content of the plaque.Institute article done mainly includes the following aspects:1.Done some experimental testing of the fluorescence spectrum and fluorescence images of the dental specimen, proposed to X/Y as an argument to analyze the content of the plaque based on the auto-fluorescence spectra differences.2.Designed a tooth sample fluorescence image acquisition system, auto-fluorescence image is collected by this system. Designed algorithm to analyze the fluorescence images, divided the fluorescence image using the X/Y and showed the false-color image based on the content of plaque.3.Designed experiments to calibrate the X/Y parameter and the extent of plaque caries. Selected some normal, early state decay, established decay and severe decay teeth to statistic the X/Y value. And also done some light stability experiments.4.Designed the system of early detection of fluorescence caries. Application software for real-time image processing and display was designed and accomplished.
