ObjectiveTo comparate the treatment of Cervical disc herniation withnucleoplasty by radiofrequency and conservative method, andevaluate the clinical effect of nucleoplasty for Cervical discherniation.MethodsSeventy-five cases of Cervical disc herniation, which werediagnosed by physical examination, CT scanning and/or MRimaging, were divided randomly into two groups. Thirty-fivecases were treated with with nucleoplasty by radiofrequency asobserved group, and other forty cases with conservative methodas compared group. The clinical outcome of all patients wereevaluated by patients's degree of satisfaction and patientsvisual analogue scales (VAS).ResultsThe rate of excellent and good results in observed groupwas 94.3%, it was 80% in compared group in which there wassignificant stastiscal difference in the clinical effect(P<0.05). And there was significant stastical differencebetween two groups in time of treatment, patients visualanalogue scales and time on recovering in living andworking(P<0.01).ConclusionThe successful rate of nucleoplasty group precede that ofthe conservative treatment group. And nucleoplasty method is better method for the treatment of Cervical disc herniationbecause it has several advantages of minimal invasion, shortertime of recovery, least pain and excellent effect. As a newminimally invasive technique, nucleoplasty is an effective, safe treatment for Cervical disc herniation.
