| Objective: To investigate the therapeutic effect of Qingguang king capsule on the cases with chronic angle-closure glaucoma treated by trabeculectomy. Methods: The 44cases of those patients were divided into two groups, namely treating group and control group. The former one was treated by Qingguang king capsule for 6 months, while the later one was treated by Yimaikang. Visual acuity,intraocular pressure,visual field and pattern-visual evoked potentials were compared before and six months after treatment between the two groupes. In each group, comparison was also respectively done between before and one month, three months,six months after administration. Result: The intraocular pressure was degraded in Qingguang king capsule groupe. Both of the two groups could get stable visual acuity, wider visual field and stronger electrical activity of optic nerve. Conclusion: Qingguang king capsule was effective for the treatment of cases with chronic angle-closure glaucoma treated by surgery in the improvement of visual function, with the protection of the optic nerve, but also could reduce intraocular pressure. |
