The climacteric syndrome is one of the most common diseases in the world, and the morbidity steps up year by year. There are many reasons which cause the climacteric syndrome, such as the hypo-ovarianism, the estrin and lutin levels in blood, the neurotransmitter, immune function, free radical, vasodil relaxing factor and so on.It is believed that the climacteric syndrome is caused by the renal deficiency and related to the liver, lien, cardia, QI and blood, Ren and vital channel. Femmes near the menopause have the weaker kidney-QI, and don't have enough blood and essence. The unbalance between YIN and YANG cause the malfunction of each entrails. So they display the climacteric syndrome. This article refers to the literatures of these years which contain the nosogenesis, the clinical classification and the treatment of the climacteric syndrome. In order to get the message of the patterns of syndrome and treatment condition, We add up the quant of the Chinese crude drugs, the frequency of the Chinese crude drugs,the classical prescription or recipe, and each patterns of syndrome.According to the frequency of the drugs, the tonify drugs occur 4605 times, account 40.4%, then the heat-cleaning drugs, the sedatives and tranquilizers and so on. According to the accumulated dose of the drugs, the tonify durgs are the most, then the sedatives and tranquilizers, the heat-cleaning drugs and so on. According to the classification of YING and YANG, YIN asthenia accounts 81.2%, YANG asthenia accounts 18.8%. It captions that the patients who are YIN asthenia are more than the patients who are YANG asthenia in climacteric syndrome. According to the classification of the organ, the pattern of syndromes which are related to kidney and account 63.1% are the most, then the liver which accounts 25.5%.On the basis of the statistics, the former clinical practice, and the scales which are used public. We try to design a scale which contains the common patterns of syndrome, the symptom, and the physically and mentally state for clinical observation. We complete 41 scales and statistic them, and find that the statistics of the scales agree with the statistics of the literatures.
