Nourishing Yin Treatment Of Polycystic Ovary Syndrome With Insulin Resistance In Patients With Clinical Studies

Objective: To study the therapeutic effect of Nourishing Kidney-yin Method on treating patients with Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) and Insulin resistance (IR) through the clinic research.Method: Selecting 31 patients with PCOS accompanied IR. Classify them into two groups—the treatment group (21 patients) treated with Ziyindianji Decoction, the control group (10 patients) treated with Metformin. The course of treatment should be last 3 months. Before and after the treatment, the clinical symptoms, reproductive hormones, serum insulin levels (FINS), insulin resistance homa model (HomaIR) and body mass index (BMI) were observed.Results: The rate of total effect in the treatment group was 76. 19% and in the control group was 80. 00%; the rate of pregnancy, two-directed BBT, menses and ovulation are similar between the two groups. After the treatment, levels of FINS, HomaIR and LH/FSH were markedly lower than before. No difference was found between two groups. The treatment group had markedly lower levels in testosterone (T) than control group. Conclusion: Ziyindianji Decoction was proved efficient in the clinical research. It may treat patients with PCOS and IR through reducing serum insulin level and regulating the balance of incretion.
