Different Directions, Moroccan Belly Gastrointestinal Electroretinogram Comparative Study

Objective: Compare the different variation on Electrogastroenterogram(EGEG) after rubbing abdomen on healthy adults, clockwise or anticlockwise. Explore the possible relationship between the change of EGEG and the direction of rubbing abdomen. Provide the evidence to choose the right direction of rubbing abdomen for treating disease in clinic.Methods: According to random comparison principle, divide 90 healthy volunteer into three groups: clockwise, anticlockwise and blank groups. Then observe the changes of EGEG itself and interclass.Result: Electrogastrogram(EGG): At the first day, after rubbing abdomen, to anticlockwise group, the frequencies of the body of stomach, the greater curvature of stomach and the amplitudes of the lesser curvature of stomach become lower (P< 0.05) . At the tenth day, to clockwise group, the frequencies of the gastric antrum are lower than those of blank group (P<0.05 ) , after rubbing abdomen, the amplitudes of the lesser curvature of stomach become higher (P < 0.05) ; To anticlockwise group, the frequencies both after and before rubbing abdomen and the amplitudes after rubbing abdomen are all lower than those of blank group ( P < 0.05 ) . Electrointestinogram (EIG) : At the first day, after rubbing abdomen, the frequencies and amplitudes of clockwise and anticlockwise groups are lower, especial the amplitudes of transverse colon are lower markedly (P<0.05) . At the tenth day, the frequencies of transverse colon of anticlockwise group are lower than those of the first day (P<0.05) .After rubbing abdomen, the frequencies of ascending colon of clockwise group are lower than those of blank group (P<0.05) .Conclusion: Rubbing abdomen, clockwise or anticlockwise, is insufficient to effect the EGG of healthy adults.
