Objective: To investigate the effect of Maitongfang on blood vessel endothelial cell of GK rats.Methods: The GK rats are spontaneous diabetic rat models. The rats were randomly divided into four groups, ie. High dosage of Maitongfang, low dosage of Maitongfang, and Cilostazol group , Model control, Then dealed with preconcerted project, The effect of different medicines on the following parameters were detected by radioimmunoassay , biochemistry detect method , Histomorphometry, etc. which were level of serum insulin, blood glucose , vegf, IL-6pathologic artery. Generic fettle.Results:Three months later, the level of blood glucose of Cilostazol group and Model control was remarkable higher than High dosage of Maitongfang and low dosage of Maitongfang(p<0.05,0.01);the level of serum insulin of High dosage of Maitongfang was remarkable difference from Cilostazol group p<0.01); the level of VEGF of High dosage of Maitongfang and low dosage of Maitongfang was difference from Cilostazol group and Model control (p<0.01), and Cilostazol group was remarkable difference from Model control; the level of IL-6 of High dosage of Maitongfang and low dosage of Maitongfang was difference from Model control (p<0.01), and Cilostazol group was remarkable difference from Model control(p<0.05); The average proportion of absent blood vessel endothelial cell of Model control contrast to High dosage of Maitongfang p<0.01, High dosage of Maitongfang contrast to Cilostazolgroup p<0.05.Conclusion:High dosage of Maitongfang demonstrates the action of improving thegeneral condition, adjusting the metabolism of blood glucose, insulin, VEGF and IL-6, correcting the dysfunction of endothelium, The comprehensive curative effect of Maitongfang is superior to that of Cilostazol group.
