AIDS is an important subject in the public health area and also a serious social problem all over the world. Since AIDS was discovered and reported at the first time in 1981, only in these two decades, the number of HIV infectors has already reached 69 million. And 25 million have died among them. The spread speed of AIDS is so fast that the entire world has to pay attention to it. As one of the main problems which have restricted the development speed of current society, AIDS has already received more and more focus of sociologists. And the research of AIDS has rushed the medical area and in-deepened to the social science area.Social Network Theory and Analysis Method, which was born in the 1930s, has been focusing on human being's behavior and social relationship in the frame of social structure. And it also gives us a special perspective for the study of AIDS' characteristics, the path of diffuse and some social policy about it. Based on the analysis of AIDS' reality, characteristics and trend in China, and on the foundation of consulting and studying rich achievements in and abroad in this area, this paper attempts to use Social Network Theory and Analysis Method to analyze AIDS' diffusion and the definition and control of the high risk group. Furthermore, this paper will bring forward some practicable policy suggestions for the controlling of AIDS' diffusion.This paper mainly uses the research methodology of combining theoretical analysis with empirical analysis. Under the perspective of the theory that was used, this paper analyzes the subject though much data. By combining the Social Network Theory's conception system and study method with the concrete data and social reality, the paper gives profound research of the problems related to AIDS. Considering of the difficulties in carrying out a survey on a large number of the HIV infectors and AIDS patients and the restriction of my material condition and theoretical level, all the data in this paper are based on documentary files. Although there are not first-hand materials which are collected though investigations in the paper, all these data are from existed authoritative investigations, so they are of high reference value all the same.
