OBJECTIVE: To observe effects of Electroacupuncture at Neiguan point on thegenes expressions of bcl-2 and MMP-2, and investigate the protective mechanismof electroacupuncture on the myocardial cell of myocardial Posiischemic andreperfusion injury models of rabbits.METHODS: 40 healthy adult rabbits were randomly devided into 4groups: controlgroup, ZIR group , EA at Neiguan group ,EA at Gongsun group. The ischemia modelwas made by ligaturing the left anterior descending branch of coronary artery.usetunnel labeling to test apoptosis condition, and the genes expressions of bcl-2 andMMP-2 was observed by immunohistochemical method.RESULTS: The expressions of bcl-2 and MMP-2: control group 105.5±11.6,62.3±14.2,ZIR group55.6±6.4 . 125.5±20.4,EA at Neiguan group 86.7±9.280.5±16.4,EA at Gongsun group 68.6±8.7 110.2±18.5 . control and Neiguan groupcompare with ZIR group P<0.05, control group compare with Gongsun groupP<0.05.CONCLUSION: Electroacupunture could increase the genes expressions of bcl-2and decrease the expressions of MMP-2, then play a protective role in some degreeafter myocardial ischemia and reperfusion injury.
