We separated and analyzed the compounds in the n-BuOH part of Ajuga decumbens by column chromatography on Si gel eluted with CH₂Cl₂ containing increasing amounts of MeOH.Two compounds have been obtained and approved 8-o-acetylharpagide and harpagide by analysis, and the former's purity was over 98%.2. We demonstrated firstly that harpagide, whose anti-inflammation effect present obviously, was a valid composition.3. We researched firtly the anti-virus effect of Ajuga decumbens and its component 8-o-acetylharpagide.4. We selected the technique of eliminating the impurity of Ajuga decumbens, and then ascertained macroporous resin as the best means.5. We researched firstly the technique of macroporous resin , and found the best laboratory condition of preparation.6. We studied out the quality standard draft of Ajuga spray in terms of Pharmacopoeia.
