This article studied the theoretical base,clinical diaspense and therapeutic mechanisms of the treatment of the multiple myeloma at the aspect of theory and clinic. The treatment was on the base of the deficiency of Yin and stagnation and toxin combining clinical exercise by the instruction of TCM theory.The article included the parts of theoretical and clinical investigation. The part of theoretical investigation analysed pathogen and pathogenesis by the way of summarizing ancient literatures and binding modern achievements. As a result, it raised that the deficiency of kidney-Yin and liver-Yin is essential pathogen and pathogenesis. It also suggested that damp, phlegm, blood stasis and toxin was the elementary agent of pathology. Therefore, nourishing kidney-Yin and liver-Yin and resolving the stasis of blood and toxin became a chief therapeutic tool of the multiple myeloma.Moreover, the reasonableness of the method was demonstrated by the way of integrating modern medicine. On the clinic, Zi Gan Bu Shen Jie Du decoction was invented to cure the disease going with chemical therapy on the base of this method. Compared group was not given this decoction therapy, and treating group was given this decoction therapy. The outcome showed that differences had been displayed at aspects of improving the symptoms, improving anemia and decreasing β2-MG between the two groups. Not only has the superiority of this kind of TCM method been proved, but also has early preparation done to manufacture pharmaceutics of the traditional Chinese medicine.
