Clinical Study On Treatment Of Hyperprolactinemia With Bu Shen Shu Gan Yi Ru Decoction

Objective To investigate the effect and mechanism of Bu Shen Shu Gan Yi Ru Decoction(BSSGYRD) in treating patients with hyperprolactinemia (HP) diagnosed deficiency of kidney and stagnation of liver-QI syndrome. Methods 51 patients with HP diagnosed deficiency of kidney and stagnation of liver-QI syndrome were divided into two groups randomly. BSSGYRD was given to treatment class including 26 patients. At the same time Bromocriptine was given to control class including 25 patients. Observe the changes of clinical symptoms and signs, basic body temperature(BBT) and serum hormones (PRL,FSH, LH, E2, T)levels. Results The total effective rate is 84.62% in treatment class and it is 64% in control class, so there is no significant difference between them (P>0.05). BSSGYRD can improve the patients' clinical symptoms of menstrual disorder, infertility and galactorrhea, there is significant difference between the two classes in the treatment of hypomenorrhea (P<0.05). And in the treatment of soreness and weakness of the lumbar region and knee joints, emotional depression or restlessness in mind and flaring up easily, headache or dizziness and tinnitus, treatment class has an advantage over control class (P<0.05). BSSGYRD can reduce the serum prolactin level in patient and could raise the serum estradiol, which is significant difference compared to prior treatment. Conclusion BSSGYRD can effectively treat HP and is well worth generalization and putting into use.
